Lake Pomorie

Lake Pomorie is situated in Pomorie and in the north of the coastal Burgas Lakes. It a protected area since January 2001. Because it is situated near the Via Pontica bird migration route, visitors of Lake Pomorie can witness more than 215 species of birds, who inhabit the lake, with 4 of them endangered.
The Lake Pomorie Visitor Center is situated in proximity to the Museum of Salt. In this Visitor Center, visitors can enjoy a tour guide, an extensive exposition with photographs of the beautiful area, the observation of wild birds with binoculars and film screenings. From the terrace of the center, visitors can marvel the beautiful spacious view of the lake and can see the largest nesting colony of the rare maned terns on the Balkan Peninsula!
