Rock Phenomenon The Three Brothers

Rock Phenomenon “The Three Brothers” is situated in Aytos, in the "Slaveeva Reka" park. This natural landmark is one of the symbols of Aytos and consists of a unique rock formation, resembling three giants. A lot of myths and legends were created about them.
One of the legend tells that those were three strong brothers, who defended the oppressed inhabitants of the city. After long days of protecting the city, the brothers would gather on those hills and turn themselves into rocks to hide from their enemies. When the heavy fighting was over and the enemies were defeated, the three heroic brothers returned once again to the mountains for a long rest. From ancient times until now, those rock brothers loom over the city and, despite petrified, they continue to watch over the town’s peace.
