Each autumn, thousands of birds can be seen flying through the Kaliakra reserve. This includes more than 29 000 storks, pelicans and more, including globally endangered species, such as the Saker Falcon, Eastern Imperial Eagle and Pallid Harrier. Visitors can also see remnants of fortified walls and the medieval fortress of Kaliakra. Dolphins can be spotted as well in the sea around the headland.
